Lisa Marie Evans' work is shown internationally and varies in form from feature length documentary to short animation and public art installation. Evans has worked as an instructor at the Kansas City Art Institute, the University of Missouri Kansas City and Artists, INC, a professional development course for artists. As a youth worker and activist, Evans develops curriculum and leads all ages in exploring personal and community issues through the art of filmmaking. She has been a selected artist for various awards and grants, including Creative Capital's Professional Development Workshop for Artists and the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City's Inspiration Grant. Evans recently moved to Tucson, AZ and is currently building connections for future collaborations.
