Kitchen Kink - A Cookbook a cookin’  (underway)


Kitchen Kink will be a vegan guide to creating eclectic, creative and healthy food that will make you feel good and look fine, baby.  Aimed for ladies who like ladies, Kitchen Kink will enlighten taste buds and heighten one’s sense of game, in and out of the kitchen.

e4c is 4Culture’s storefront gallery for electronic art. Visible by foot, bike, car or bus to more than 20,000 people each day, four monitors, adjacent to Gallery4Culture, display selected works on rotation. e4c offers a highly visible, public venue for the exhibition of dynamic electronic artworks by media artists, as well as projects intrinsic to 4Culture’s work to advance community through arts, heritage, preservation and public art throughout King County.

Lisa Marie Evans will present an excerpt of her text animation piece, Communified, a poetic consolidation of personal texts drawn from various participants’ journal entries. The texts layer with graphics to evoke our subconscious and weave a surprising  narrative about how our environment changes when we try to perceive someone’s thoughts. Evans writes, “Communified celebrates our inner voices, in the many tones and styles that unify us as human beings.  Through compiling excerpts of journal entries by individuals from around the globe, Communified uses text animation to emerge varying voices and emotions by experimenting in form and rhythm.”

Art on the River, Dubuque, IA - Current ZOETROPE Exhibition


A ZOETROPE is a cylinder object with slits on the outside and still images on the inside.  When spun, the strips of still images create the illusion of an animation.  "I Fly, You Fly" will be a sky blue ZOETROPE with images of a Heron.  As the ZOETROPE spins, the Heron flies.  "I Fly, You Fly” uses a Heron to represent Sustainable Dubuque's preservation of Environmental Integrity, specifically through its Heron Pond Restoration.  Sustainability is defined by a community’s ability to meet the environmental, economic, and social equity needs of today without reducing the ability of future generations to meet their needs. "I Fly, You Fly" symbolizes this positive relationship between generations and the effects our actions today may hold tomorrow.

Nosh


I work as a personal chef part-time, developing creative and inspiring food.  Just like this vegan sushi to our left (roasted red pepper, steamed Chinese yam, baked tofu)  This is an education for Kitchen Kink, another project below, a cooking show and book in the works.  Check out the gallery of nosh.
